THE TEAM
Karen Radkowsky, Founder & President
Karen Radkowsky brings a wealth of leadership experience in both the corporate sector and the nonprofit world to Impact:NPO. She also provides a unique perspective, having served on both sides of the organizational table – as a grantmaker and a grantee.
Karen has held senior management positions at several global marketing communications agencies – BBDO, Ketchum and Ogilvy, where she created and led the research consulting practice. Her nonprofit clients have included Jewish, Christian and non-sectarian organizations, and she has worked with audiences ranging from children and teens to Boomers and older adults.
She also spearheaded the boards of two innovative and highly successful organizations – DOROT and Limmud NY. As Founding President of Limmud NY, Karen oversaw its grant applications and reporting. She honed her grantmaking skills as a board member of UJA-Federation of NY, and as a longtime member of its Commission on Jewish Identity and Renewal (CoJIR).
Karen’s involvement in Limmud NY and other Limmud startups around the globe led to her appointment (in 2013) as the first non-UK based trustee of Limmud's parent organization, with responsibility for organizational branding, PR and communications worldwide.
A graduate of Columbia University, Karen studied program evaluation at New York University. She also received an International Certificate in Measurement and Evaluation (with Distinction) from AMEC in London.
